Ahh, school. Going back today felt like we never left. I'm pretty satisfied with my schedule, and for once I'm actually excited for a class or two. My lurking fear of being surrounded by strangers was vanquished, and I realize now that I never really had anything to worry about to begin with...I know more people than I thought. There is one face I haven't gotten to see enough of, though....it makes me miss the free time of summer, but alas there's always weekends.

It feels almost awkward to be excited about Journalism, since I rarely get anything more than moderate entertainment from school. We're doing press shots tomorrow, plus the normal school pictures, though I think my mother wants me to get those ridiculous studio ones -_-

My only misgiving with the new year is the awesomely-cool, renovated electronics policy. No cell phones, anywhere, anytime (except during lunch in a "designated area"). And no iPods either. For the most part, the teachers seem to be going along with the plan, though my Journalism teacher will let us do all of the above in the back room moahah. I feel like I've broken the system, great success.

Nice to know some people are having good first days of school.

I wish had friends in my classes. :/

My first year Journalism was good. Then we got a new newspaper/yearbook advisor who didn't know anything about photography, and since I had previously taken a course in it and owned my own film camera and took alot of pictures, she made me the head photographer( virtually the only photographer ) for the newspaper and yearbook( i put pictures of friends wqho didn't go to my school in our yearbook that year. no one has complained yet.) Anyway, I didn't like it after that. BUT

Journalism is fun. I think you'll be good at it; your command of the language.. the way you can manipulate it speaks of the skill you have in writing.

School starts again for me in a little over 2 weeks, so my summer is pretty much in the process of winding down now but it's all good. I'm looking forward to my classes this fall quarter and all the opportunities that will present themselves.

I was seriously disappointed when I read that Apple dropped the bomb on all the early adopters so soon. I mean I knew a price drop was inevitable, but wow, 2 months? But yeah, I got word today that Apple is going to give all the people who bought an iPhone early a $100 Apple credit or whatever to use in store or online. So that's pretty awesome.
