Tinnitus, dentists, rappers, and dramatics
Monday. 3.12.07 3:32 pm
I've had this ringing in my right ear for the past week. When I'm surrounded by the chaos of school, I don't notice it much, but now that it's relatively quiet I'm suddenly aware of its irritating presence. It all started some days back when I fell asleep with my iPod in my ears. The bass comes prominantly from the right earbud (I think), which would explain why the eardrum is going berserko. I took a little initiative--a big step for me--and looked up my condition on Web MD, discovering it was something called tinnitus. It can be caused by either continued exposure to loud noises or aspirin poisoning, and I can assure you it isn't the latter of the two. I was, however, a little concerned by this little tid-bit: "There may not be a cure for tinnitus, but your doctor can help you learn how to live with the problem and make sure a more serious problem is not causing your symptoms.". Oh yeah great. Really looking forward to it. If I'm not here tomorrow you all know why.

Haha I have to admit, all this drama going on around Nutang is pretty atypical...at least since I've been around. Normally I feel at least marginal pity for the users who don't have a clue, but this time things are just ridiculous. Anyone else notice how there've been two goodbye entries posted this week, each complete with "hey come here and feel sorry for me" sentiments? Nutang, the internet, or people for that matter, aren't always going to be dishing out sympathy when you're actions don't exactly fit your age. If you want a more friendly, cuddly, internet environment, I suggest visiting carebear.com. 'Nuff said.

I have this friend who has to have about 6-7 teeth pulled, or something like that...problem is, she will most likely have a panic-induced siezure at the prospect of getting knocked out via gas. It's required for the operation! How else are they going to do it. Well, that was the question, and here are some potential answers.
A skillet to the back of the head.
A pen that is secretly a tranquilizer blowgun.
A Tazer
Rappers

Do not try to bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

Tell her it'll be the best sleep she ever gets.

Note that most of the drama is caused by people going "WEH! I Want to do this!" and the rest of us going "No, don't, you shouldn't" and the person going "WEH! YOU'RE MEAN!"

It's like when someone bribes you a dollar to do something, and when you don't they say they're not your friend anymore.

iki said it all
Apparently, we're the bad guys. >.> But I'm being the nice older sister I am and trying to explain with the least drama possible. ^-^ It's working...I think. We'll hafta see.
Have fun with your tinnitus. (^-')=b

I get a ringing in my ears every so often, but it usually goes away after a few seconds. I wish you luck, my friend, in dealing with your tinnitus the best way possible. I couldn't imagine having to deal with it myself... I already suffer from headaches.

Hope the ringing in your ears will not stay for good.. I get that every once in a while. I think I missed all the drama while I was away.. dang!

Iki posted a blog about the Nutang Terms of Service {TOS} that you have to agree to when you join and how the people who have been posting anima/manga/TV show links are violating the TOS. When asked to stop, they ignore us and when we start to get a little less friendly about asking them to stop, they complain about how mean we are. That's a very, very short version of what she wrote :)

Yes I'm going to make a spring layout soon! ^.^ I think it'll be the same as my main site's layout. starlite-way.net.tc

I couldn't spend too much money. I had already spent $2.75 on cherry coke.

Ooo I hope your ear problem isn't major. >.< Good luck with it.

I need to get my teeth checked period. My wisodm teeth are coming in and I just need a checkup.

ah well you see, i'm never bored. It's just the quiet that night-time provides is conducive to a healthy creative atmosphere, something that doesn't exist during the day when the brain is muddled with excess concerns.

What drama?! I missed this too?
Or wait no. This has been going on since last last month. Haha Oh well. Good luck to the goodbyers.

Nweiz something like that happened to my ear too. Also because of the music. But it went away after a week or so. No worries.
